Hello Dolls!!

I can’t believe we are only 7 weeks away from my very first in-person crafting event.  To say I’m excited is an understatement.  This has literally been a dream of mine for a few years.  If you’ve been following my page for a while now, you’ll remember our many many discussions about the DBD Bus coming to pick everyone up for the event and Kenny being the driver. HaHa!!  Shortly after that, the pandemic hit which put all of the plans on hold.  However, my dream of having my event never died…it was just put on hold for while.  Now…here we are…a little less than 7 weeks from my dream coming to fruition.  God is so good!

The planning process has been so much fun.  I think I’ve written notes in over 6 different notebooks over these past few months of planning.  Whenever I thought of an idea, I’d write it down in whatever notebook I had close by.  I’ve been collecting all of those notes and making sure I haven’t missed anything.  Every single time I receive items I’ve ordered for the event…I get a little more excited to see it all come together.  We will be touring the event center again tomorrow so I can get a clearer plan on the decorating and set up.  I’m sure after that…it’s really going to hit me that my dream is really coming true.  My very first in-person event is really happening!

Soon we will be gathering with 7 of my amazing crafting business sisters and 50 of my Dolls.  How is this even possible?  When Kenny and I were discussing how many tickets to make available…he of course shot for a high number.  HaHa!!  The more practical ME decided on 50.  I honestly didn’t think I would even be able to sell 50.   Boy was I wrong…tickets sold out in less than 4 hours and I have a waiting list a mile long of those who want to come if someone cancels.  Many have told me that I should have made more tickets available, but I didn’t want there to be so many of you there that I wouldn’t be able to spend time chatting with each of you.  I love smaller crowds and a more laid back atmosphere where people can just relax, craft and have a great time of fellowship.
